Length of Time on the Server:
I am one of the longest surviving players in the Fallout RP community. Since CGC 1.0 in early 2017. I played intermittently in the following years, but have decided to throw my hat back into the Fallout fold. As for Phoenix, I joined about three days ago.
Why do you want to a member of the Event Team?(100 word minimum):
What harmed Divide/Surge more than anything was the lack of a cohesive narrative, or a motivating purpose for roleplay in general. CGC Incursion survived in a heavily PVP-centric gamemode due to its highly experienced staff that had slowly transitioned its concept, but this community, being new, has staff committed to ironing out bugs and achieving balance in beta. They do not have time to instigate roleplay or encourage factions to develop unique cultures or characters. In that regard, I wish to pick up some weight and provide support to the team working hard behind the scenes so they can focus on what needs to get done for a survivable server.
Additionally, I just like to write. It would be fun to watch a story be built through a meticulous long term chain of planned (and unplanned) events that is both rewarding to the grind of the game and to the player’s attachment to their character. My ultimate goal is to foster an environment where a person’s character actually means something to them beyond being a vessel for PVP.
Previous Event Team/GM Experience:
A lot. I’ve been in the GMOD RP scene (on and off) for the past decade, although mostly in the more traditional nutscript framework. I’ve run events for Fallout, Star Wars, you name it.
What Skills/Attributes do you bring to the table?:
Experience: I’ve been doing this a while.
Strong writing/planning capability: Creative writing is a hobby of mine, and applying it to putting together events both large and small is something I think I could do effectively.
Lore knowledge: I have a very strong base of knowledge as it pertains to the universe I am writing in. As I said, I’ve been involved with Fallout (in this community alone) since 2017.
How old are you?:
23
What are your past bans on the Server (if any):
None.
Briefly describe a possible event you would like to host on the server:
I’m thinking big picture. I want to team up with the dev team to create a chart/table of events mapped out as it pertains to developing a story (or to help factions progress their focus trees.)
But in the smaller scale, I would run events that put factions in a moral dilemma that challenges the way that their laws/institutions see things. For instance, as the Brotherhood progresses through its focus tree, I would play a waster who claims possession of a vital piece of tech for their studies. However, the waster would only give them possession of the tech if the Brotherhood agrees to broker a deal with the Khans/Jackals to fuel his Psycho addiction at a reduced cost.
