IC reasoning -A notorious and ruthless organization commonly known for their exploits in the Commonwealth, whispers brew around the lips of shrewd wastelanders of their looming presence. The exploitation of caps for life is one frowned upon, yet dire to the longevity of many factions and their goals. They once roamed the wastes as mere survivors like everyone else, ordinary men and women just trying to get by. Through nature and its laws of survival, they grew to evolve in to a professional army, riddled with discipline, order, ranks, and stratagem.
Their services are a wide-array of meticulous contracts, each parchment scrawled with names and duties inevitably leading to a corpse for monetary gains. The Gunners are not raiders, yet practical and cunning soldiers-for-hire. They value precision and cohesion. Heavily armed and bleak with only a passion for earnings, these neutral forces contribute to the lawless world of the wasteland. Only the highest bidder can appease their attention, and should they be outbid themselves, the cycle will only continue until wallets close.
OOC Reasoning: As it stands, there is a lack of a prominent and active Mercenary faction on the server. I am aware Talon has been claimed, though they are inactive and seem to be dormant. I and two others are looking to obtain this faction.
We three have experience leading factions, roleplaying seriously, and overall understand the importance of what a true-neutral mercenary faction and its impact on this server means. We've spoken with several faction leaders about our intentions and gotten a feel for what they themselves would look for. Overall, should we be able to obtain Gunners, our only goal would be to maintain a permanent presence as mercenaries for hire. Neutrality and work for caps is extremely important to what we have planned. I'd also like to mention we are drama-free, and have never received disciplinary actions from staff. We have a core understanding of the rules and are all adults. We truly just want to see a mercenary faction thrive where there is a vacuum of presence.
