Quote:The past week has focused on market recovery, with a few companies making plays in the slightly hesitant market.
Firstly, a new company has been made public. Fiend Land & Property Management (Ticker $FPM) suddenly announced their presence mid last week before market open, purchasing a large amount of property across the Mojave. $FPM saw a sharp increase in their stock price, going from 14 caps a share, to 340 caps. This sentiment wasn't long lasting as the discussion turned to the mass purchase of Buy-To-Let properties being immoral - widening the gap between the lower and middle class. This was then met with unease as a freedom of information request discovered that some of these properties were planning on being used for mugging purposes. $FPM took a massive hit back down to 30 caps a share, prompting them to have to sell some of the recently purchased properties for capital. This Scribe believes that they will file for bankruptcy within the year.
A minor benefit to $FPM's accounts is that they've recently come into possession of faction armour, which could provide a much needed cash injection if purchased by the relevant faction - as the Brotherhood did.
$CC has once again hit an all time high as $GR are still nowhere to be seen, essentially provide $CC a monopoly on the ballistic firearm market. Furthermore, investor confidence is still positive after the auction which significantly boosted their profits at the start of this quarter. The auction itself was successful with only minor disturbances - creating confidence in $CC's security and management.
Unfortunately the same can't be said about $VG whose 'slight pullback' last week has seen a further retraction, resulting from multiple factors, both positive and negative. Firstly, $VG's auction was met with antagonism from MEF who claimed there was a disconnect between $VG's upper management and their front-line sales team. MEF's protest outside the auction reduced customer flow and lowing overall profits. Secondly, $VG's office has recently become home to a group of hitmen who have completed contracts on some $VG shareholders. Unfortunately this general unease around $VG has meant that even though the supply problems have been solved, and they are selling energy weapons again - people aren't keen to invest. This Scribe believes that unless the $VG board starts improving consumer relations, we might see a a new 52-week low.
$HI has seen a minor increase after the monorail situation as they hosted a fight night at Lucky 38. During this time they managed to sell a decent chunk of food and drinks, giving them a much needed cash boost. Whether this can be maintained is anyone's guess.
$AW has been trading sideways and the FOA housed within haven't made much advance in their bio-medical research. Their expansion into chems, much to the anger of $GK, has been a boon on their account. This Scribe still is confident in their $AW investment.
Lastly, the main index fund $WLT (Wasteland Technology ETF) has seen a slight increase, mainly resulting from $CC positive trend.
Markets open as usual on Monday.
