Repeated clear favoritism and bias in scenarios.
Please describe the incident:
This scenario takes place throughout three staff sits recently and indicates a clear show of bias and favoritism from two specific staff members in these cases. The two staff members Tontoe and Todd have repeatedly applied their position of power in order to advance the rule-playing of Bongo on the server. They are clearly friends with Bongo and as such use their positions of power in order to enable his borderline power-gaming behavior. In multiple instances they have used their power in a means to try and not only defend their friend but allow him to win in roleplay scenarios. This repeated abuse of power has left not only me but other players feeling disillusioned with the experience on the server providing a toxic perspective to myself that is somewhat unplayable and borderline harassment.
Incident One:
During a post-raid conversation with Minutemen, a man force-fed me mushrooms mid-conversation and then dragged me to a pole. He was shot by my fellow faction member. Upon me getting up within the millisecond of me waking up from unconsciousness Bongo another player hit a bind on me the millisecond upon me getting up. At first I thought I was in the right but in the later review of the clip it clearly shows I was in fact knocked out. However, the screenshot used by staff in order to justify my warn is edited in a way to make it look as if I was in fact knocked out when he hit the bind when in reality. He hit the bind on me within milliseconds of milliseconds of me getting up. While I acknowledge by technicality I was knocked out the problem does not lie with the warn, but the arbitration and semantics of said staff members Tontoe and Todd. Not only do these two staff have relations to suspected player but they show clear signs of emotion and lack of self control. In three separate cases regardless of whether their friend is in the wrong they take his side even when it is ruled against his favor which brings me to the next incident. Another thing to note about this incident is they pulled me into the sit as I walked into freeside with a fellow faction member. As they pulled me into the sit this gave the Minutemen an excuse to try and fear rp my fellow faction member due to me being in a sit. Though I complained about this Tontoe and Todd did not seem to care and instead opted to try and punish my fellow faction member for breaking Fear Rp. I also threatened to report the two staff members which I believe has resulted in their targeting and continued bias over said sits.
Incident Two:
After being brought back to the roleplay scenario I was brought by Bongo into a shack nearby Novac. A faction member and outside anonymous source saw me being dragged into a house into Novac. A group of legion and my fellow faction member broke into the house and held Bongo at Fear RP. Not only did he break Fear RP but he was not given any warning or punishment by Tontoe and Todd. We called Community Manager Haroxan who ruled that he broke Fear RP. But Todd and Tontoe, more specifically Todd tried to argue semantical evidence to try and disprove that he was under fear rp. In his own words." If it were up to me he would not be liable for breaking fear rp." His argument was in fact the same argument he used against me trying to argue that due to the funkiness of the door situation that Bongo was not under fear rp. But my video below will show clear proof that not only was their a millisecond in which Bongo had weapons on him and could clearly see them but he did not fire. Though this clearly showed he was under fear-rp Todd tried to argue that he was not. This pedantic behavior shows clear hypocrisy in his actions as staff. After we had Bongo brought back due to Haroxan's ruling we PKd him at the Legion Base.
Third Incident:
After killing someone near a drop, I was selling BPs in the vendor. Bongo came up behind me and knocked me out. How he knew exactly where I was so fast upon me logging on the server about two minutes prior I do not know. But he dragged me over to NCR base where the guy I had killed had broken NLR and assisted in bringing me into their base. Upon bringing me into their base they called a raid in order to avoid any disturbances in RP. This was blatant power-gaming and though I brought this up to Tontoe and Todd they seemed to not even address this situation. When the PK was approved I asked for proof in which I was told that it would endanger the risk of me metagaming. I understand the idea is to prevent metagame from happening but I retorted that if I had broken the contract of him meta-gaming to get my PK reason I would just be banned. Even then Todd refused to show me proof. The implication of someone in present during the PK would make sense, but I wanted evidence in order to be able to appeal the decision. I was refused and Todd grew adamant about not letting me know out of fear of me retaliating against said player. Furthermore, I think it needs to be investigated that upon Bongo being kidnapped he may have asked one of his friends to flag up on their Legion character to witness said PK in order to get a reason on me. This along with prolongment of the sit even though a decision had already been made indicates foul-play regarding the scenario and potential meta-game in order to find a PK reason. This is proven by the player who had the evidence being present only for the PK, but not the fear-rp scenario prompting reason to believe that he flagged on after being told that Bongo would receive the PK in order to gain a reason on me. If this is the case this flagrant power-gaming and metagaming and my PK should be reversed.
While in incidents one, and three(though three shows clear signs of foul-play) I may have been at fault and deserving of said punishments I do believe the repeated case of the ticket being taken by people who are deeply associated with the person of the center of the tickets shows a clear indicative bias present in all three sits. This is shown by not only their demeanor towards me a player constantly making passive aggressive comments, but their repeated prolonging of sits and also trying to argue semantically over the two pretty much same scenarios. When the same situation occurs they try to pedantically argue over a scenario in order to prove their friend in the right. This addresses a deep-rooted problem within the server particularly with these two staff members in question not only being unable to lack control in their bias over situations, but outwardly helping their friend abuse and loophole rules in his favor. This brings into question the integrity of not only the staff team but the server as a whole.
At a conclusive note, I think this relays a couple problems within the server:
1) If staff have a close relationship or are friends with someone involved in the sit they should not be able to preside over their sit, especially not three sits in a row.
2) Handcuff binds being somewhat ridiculous while normal handcuffs require time and you putting away your weapon binds simplify this issue and allow for power-gaming scenarios.
3) PKs as a whole their system is quite antiquated and redundant with many loopholes allowing experienced players like Bongo to abuse these rules in order to seek vengeance on people who PK him.
4) Losing PA training when getting PKd, pretty much makes mugging or branding rp useless and requires players and officers to wait a month before being able to wear armor that prevents them from getting mugged.
