"Gayest PK Ever"

#1
What was the staff member's name?:

Apex

What is your in-game name?:
Head Scribe Licarde:

Exact time this incident happened?:
Around 4:00pm, 6 November

Please describe the incident:
I was pk’ed out of the Brotherhood for “Inciting a mutiny”. The screenshot provided as evidence for this was captured behind a steel door clearly out of what would reasonably be heard by anybody, as these are reinforced steel doors proofed for rocket launchers. The screenshot provided as evidence is quite conveniently clipped to conceal the fact that the individual is not even in the same room as the roleplay occurring.

Even if he *did* hear it, I was not calling for mutiny, as I did not say that I wanted to move against the Elder of the Brotherhood that runs the server’s faction. I said that the Elijahist doctrine of the Brotherhood must broadly prevail over Lost Hills influence. Nowhere in my statement did I say, or even imply, that I aimed to overthrow the faction leader.

If it is completely ignored that the person who screenshotted the statement could not possibly have heard me given the circumstances, and that it is merely a function of shitty gmod vocal range not accounting for barriers, then the Elder could reasonably remove me from the faction or fire me if he saw fit. However I am not born-in, so a PK does not apply here either.

Most MGMT I have spoken to regarding the PK are in agreement that it was quite bad, and it backtracks the past couple months of steady roleplay that has been one of the key elements keeping the faction alive. Pretty silly to punish active faction roleplay this way.

Please provide any evidence or proof of the incident?

(Cropped, but he is not in the same room.)

Added, if you want to be super anal and say it doesn't matter where he is or where you are, its within talking range on the game so it counts. In which case, he doesn't have my F3 and can't even be positive that its me speaking. This is all the proof that was provided.

There is no reason why this should have been approved as a PK reason. Nothing in what he is saying in that message could be reasonably equated to "i want to mutiny the elder" Its legit just a character voicing some discontent. If anything he is saying he doesn't like the council of elders, which I'm assuming is lost hills. Not anything to do with the elder of the mojave chapter. PK should be overturned

Is voicing passive RP discontent now a mutiny? I didn't know that tbh. He said he thinks Elijah's ideals are better than the current Lost Hills ideals, which is like the entire reason why the Brotherhood, in lore, had a bit of a schism and sent Elijah to the Mojave to end it (by removing him from the political equation).

The screenshot, despite the extensive cropping, very clearly shows that the guy is in the hallway AND doesn't have Licarde's f3. Licarde, as admitted by Doug, is very popular in the BOS and shouldn't be removed from the extensive and popular RP he was doing because some guy took a screenshot outside a door while not even having the f3 of Licarde, it is just going to kill the server more as Licarde's presence was a big reason for people to hop on, at least in the BOS. I've seen the difference in flag up numbers.

This was ultimately a ridiculous move and a ridiculous PK and should be reverted, this is just bad for business. I don't know why Apex approved it as he did, but I think he should reconsider heavily. Get rid of the PK, bring this man and his RP back, it made BOS less one-note and Licarde actually did events and led a successful scribe branch.

Definitely a dumb decision to allow this PK especially when there simply was no Mutiny in these words. The Mojave chapter was an exhile chapter that disputed the current Elder Council of Lost Hills. A Head Scribe has every right in the brotherhood to disagree with the Elder council in Lost Hills. Not to mention this had nothing to do with Doug. The problem is in the fact that a person who added flavor and put a lot of effort in introducing good content and RP to the faction was PK'd by an Elder that plays very few times in the week, and does not do nearly the amount of work Licarde did for the faction. It's distasteful that this was done when the situation in itself could have been extended and created even MORE flavor for the faction, however, the Elder decided to dm all his friends to get on the moment Licarde hopped on that day and decided to PK him for this dumb shit.

Silly PK if this is all the evidence. We were told after it happened that - "disagreement with the way myself [Elder] and other HC are running the faction is more than okay". At a stretch, this is all the comment was. There has also been OOC reasons based on past events that people have used to justify undue focus on Licarde's actions.

Something else that just occurred to me:
The Lost Hills chapter is mentioned nowhere in the codex (at the time of me writing this).
